The Everlasting Father

His name shall be called—Everlasting Father!  I’ve been blessed to have an awesome dad in my life.  My Dad has always set such a good, godly example for me to follow.  He has always provided for our family and been faithful to teach us about the love of God.  My Dad is the best man I know, and not only because he is my earthly father and has given me a good example in life, but he was the one who led me to believe and accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.  Not everyone has that kind of history with their father.  Many have never had a chance to even know their father, and for many, their father just didn’t come around much.  Many have had the sad and unfortunate experience of having an abusive father.  And many have had great fathers, but have already seen them pass from this life.  So just knowing the Messiah coming into the world would be a Father to the Fatherless is a great comfort.

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
