His Thoughts are Higher

If you have a problem then you are probably trying to find a solution.  It’s what we do, right?  But the truth is, there are a great number of perplexing problems that are beyond our capacity to work out or figure out.  That’s not meant to discourage you, but it’s only designed to encourage you to remember that God does not think like we do.  Aren’t you glad God He doesn’t? Wouldn’t that make Him so small?  God is on a completely different level of thinking than we are which should cause you to be able to rest a little better.  I heard a man say the other day, “Who ever gave God a thought?”  The answer is no one, because God does not get His thoughts, ideas and plans from anyone other than Himself.  Look at what the Bible says,

“For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, Nor [are] your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV)

Exactly how much higher are the heavens than the earth?  It all depends on which heavens you are referring to.  If you are only speaking of the height of the clouds, they are still visible and even reachable.  But if the heavens this refers to is as far as the stars and beyond, then that’s a long way off.  Many times what God has in mind is light years away from what we are thinking.  You might think God is going to do one thing in a situation and He does something you never considered.  Years ago we were praying that God would help us financially and in our minds that looked like promotions and pay raises but instead, God opened up another place for us to live completely free.  What this means is that you need to stay open for however God wants to solve your problem and don’t try to force a fix, He knows what He is doing! Nothing wrong with having a dream or a vision, but if it’s from God, let Him work it out.
