“F”

Don’t live in your failures! That is the tendency for many people today. They can’t get past that moment or week or that major transgression against their family or friend. And the truth is, many don’t want to get past it, but would rather live out their days in the misery of that failure. I actually made one “F” in high school—in Typing, of all classes. You may have never made an “F” in school, but certainly you’ve made an “F” in some aspect of your life. You can’t go any lower than an “F.” When it comes to serving God, loving your neighbor, being kind to a stranger, witnessing and sharing your faith with a lost soul, staying committed to your spouse, studying Gods Word, investing time in prayer, overcoming every temptation, avoiding addictions, taking what is not yours, becoming greedy, telling lies, falling in love with the world more than with God, surely we have utterly failed. We fail when we live in the failure. The devil wants you to make your bed and live in it, but God forgives. God even forgives when no one else does. Not only does God forgive, but God forgets our failures when we bring them to Him in repentance. The devil will always remind you of where and when you made the mistake and of all the people you hurt, but God never does that. When the devil reminds you of a past failure, God will say, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Hebrews 10:16-18 “This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 [then He adds], “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, [there is] no longer an offering for sin.” Don’t live in your failures and sins, confess them, repent and turn from them, and move on! Go today in the strength of this word.
