Change

It seems like things never change, but the reality is, things are always changing.  On a personal level and on a global level you need to know and prepare yourself for the change that is coming.  Our hope is that life will always change for the better, but we have learned from our own experiences and the life of other people, that that is not always the case.  God takes us through a variety of spiritual landscapes meant to mold and shape us and draw us closer to Him.  There are changes in our families, health, jobs, and places where we live, again some incredibly good changes, and others we would rather skip.  What you see now, you will not always be able to see.  Who you are with now may not always be with you, so you and I should live not in suspense of life changing, but always clinging to the only One who does not change.

Whatever you do, don’t stop preparing your heart and mind for the radical change that is coming on this world.  It will be a global change and it will directly change your life and the way you live.  Our great God and King is coming, but before He gets here, the landscape is going to change.  Don’t be like the one who says, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:4. Those are the words of a mocker who does not understand the tender mercies of God.  Change is coming and you should feel it in your heart, and it’s nothing to be afraid of, but certainly something to prepare for.  But how do you prepare for change?  Whether it’s personal change or much bigger, train yourself to keep your eyes on Jesus, the unchanging One.
